Review: Original LittleBigPlanet Sackboy
Review: Original LittleBigPlanet Sackboy |
Original LittleBigPlanet Sackboy Posted: We've seen all shapes, sizes, materials, both official and custom made, but this is it! 6 inches tall, correct proportions, eye placement, head shape, and best of all, it looks hand-made! It has reliable machine-stitching, but also has yarn stitching for the hand-made aesthetic. It looks just like the game character. I've seen a couple of costumed versions, as well as this naked one, available at GameStop. This is the one they should continue to make! I hope these fly off the shelves, so to speak, so they know that this is the one we want them to make. They need to come out with more skin colors, fabrics, clothing, and accessories for us, so we can personalize our Sackboys and Sackgirls!. (I keep saying "they", but I don't know who "they" are! The tag says "PS Officially Licensed Product", so I'd assume Sony?) Only changes I'd suggest are as follows: 1. The zipper is made of dull plastic and doesn't actually "zip" up and down. I realize this isn't exactly necessary, but it would be nice if it was shiny plastic (or metal) and perhaps a real zipper. It doesn't need to unzip to reveal stuffing (that could get messy,) it's just that a working zipper would be very satisfying. 2. The arms and legs should swivel. It can't be very difficult to have the arms swivel at the shoulder, and the legs swivel at the hips, can it? Lots of plush toys do that (I don't know exactly how the mechanics work.) This would allow us to put them in a sitting position, or have them lift their arms up in celebration! Overall, great product. Go for it! |
